Urgh the snows been pretty bad for the past few wks - i hardly go out >.< Just hiding out in my atticy room blogging and sleeping ^_^Was listening to Harry Potter & Order of the Phoenix read by Stephen Fry (so good!) with little bro the other day..and when Im listening to a book I HAVE to be playing spider solitaire or sketching on scribbletoo...or both lol..
so heres a sketch i made..going down shows the progress backwords =P

A sketch I made yesterday while listening to Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban with my brother.
Im on a mission to get him to read books that arent just about gross stuff etc and Im succeeding! A note to anyone trying to convince boys round the age of 7-10 to read book thicher than one centimetre with actual words no picutres and not just a bout juvenile stuff - make them listen to the story first :) Stephen Fry is really good with the voices :) Now my bro is actually reading the books!
Anyway yeah so I was sketching this on scribblertoo as I hate beng idle on the pc I need to do stuff when listening to something an scribbler too is no fuss sketching..
This is me 10 minutes in..
Sketch finished by the time the story finished :) An hour has passed..
I always take ages to edit the colours on photoshop and Im still never happy with the results. This went under the knife many many times..
I never really bothered to 'paint' in the colours properly - just cheated a bit and used the layer effects etc. Maybe oneday Ill do a proper painting..
Anyway..you be the judge.. ^_^
Yikes better go gotta cook with mum.. >.< I hate cooking..

Here are my two edits..subte differences..
I cropped the image added a transparent layer which I highlighted over the girl in white and darkend the edges in black for a natural viginette to make it look light the light fell naturally on her & added a slight lens blur around the edges mostly on the far left pumpkins to put more focus on the middle..
I also enhanced her eyes added a subtle blush to the cheeks. I used a daylight to tungsten filter to warm it up several curves over it then vignetting again.

me. i couldnt sleep at all last night. but i can't go to sleep now. i've been sleeping till 4pm then staying awake till 4am..etc. gotta stop that somehow. my head is pounding from screen exposure >.<

taken today. because remembered the gras is greener line. i wish we had grass in our garden. then i wouldnt hole up so much in my pokey room T_T
yeah dont be fooled by thes pretty berries. i picked some to photograph because they looked like jewels but accidentally squashed it in my hoodie pocket. NEVER AGAIN. the smell oh lord >.<
